Children and Parents Activity Days at the Library Fridays 10am- noon

Silver City Volunteer Library is hosting Friday morning activities for parents and their children. We've had such a good time wtih the following activities in June: teaching preschoolers literacy skills with Dolch site words; Tune In To Kids day with Nevada Early Childhood Project; and Planter Decorating Day (thank you Community Roots and Beautiful Foods Farm for terracotta pots and chives, thank you NV Dept of Health for the beautiful new books for children on nutrition and exercise).

Watch the Silver City Facebook Site, Dayton Courier, www.virginiacitynews.com, and the Silver City Post Office board and School House board for announcements about children's events on Fridays 10am-noon. Friday, July 10 children and their parents are invited to a messy day of outdoor art with shaving cream and pudding painting. Call Quest at 847-0742 for more information. These events are organized by the Silver City Volunteer Library and Task Force, with funding from Healthy Communities Coalition, local fundraisers, and lots of volunteer help from parents and the teens of Comstock Youth Works.
